Housing Partners Mid Penn Bank and Wells Fargo Bank to Be Honored

HARRISBURG (Aug. 17, 2026) The Harrisburg-based nonprofit Tri-County Housing will hold its 11th annual golf outing at Sportsman Golf Course in Susquehanna Twp, to raise funds for aspiring homeowners seeking affordable housing and neighborhood revitalization today..
Before the golfers tee off, Mid Penn Bank and Wells Fargo Bank will each be honored with the 2026 “Housing Advocate of the Year” Award, for their impactful partnerships with Tri-County Housing.
Mid Penn Bank will be recognized for their extensive support of Tri-County’s Home Buyer Counseling Program/Workshops, along with their multi-year support for numerous housing projects through the Pennsylvania Dept. of Community and Economic Development’s (DCED) Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP).

Wells Fargo Bank will also be recognized for their overwhelming financial support through the PA DCED NAP program, for their multi-year contribution totaling $500,000, which has assisted with much-needed local homeownership projects.

This is the fifth year Tri-County Housing has recognized a Housing Advocate.

  • 2022—State Sen. John DiSanto (Inaugural recipient)
  • 2023–Robin Wiessmann-CEO/Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency
  • 2024–Monarch Development Group for their partnership on the Point at Sporting Hill in Mechanicsburg
  • 2025–Woda Cooper for the award-winning Normandy Lofts in Shippensburg.

Last year’s outing raised more than $50,000.

WHO WE ARE: Tri-County Housing was formerly Tri-County Housing Development Corporation (TCHDC). Tri-County/TCHDC has served Dauphin, Cumberland and Perry Counties for 36 years. Since 1990, they have developed or rehabilitated more than 900 units of affordable housing, for both rent and purchase. They specialize in rehabilitation and redevelopment projects as well as new home construction. Tri-County rehabilitates abandoned and blighted properties in the City of Harrisburg and throughout Dauphin, Cumberland and Perry Counties. In addition, they are a HUD-certified Homebuyer Counseling Agency that provides a monthly eight-hour course to first-time homebuyers. Recent successful projects include affordable homes for sale in the South Allison Hill neighborhood of Harrisburg, on both Hummel Street and Swatara Street, along with properties on East South Street in Carlisle. Three more recent successes include the completed rehabilitation of a blighted home at 215 Eutaw Avenue in New Cumberland Borough and 214 Herman Avenue in Lemoyne, as well as the construction of five townhomes on N. 4th Street in the city of Harrisburg.
