Tri County Board Tours the Brand-New Point at Sporting Hill Development in Mechanicsburg

Board members are never “bored” members when we hold meetings at newly completed affordable rental housing communities!

For our January Board of Directors meeting, 15 members of the Tri County Housing Board met at and toured the Point at Sporting Hill in Hampden Township, built by Monarch Development Group with Tri County Housing as their nonprofit partner. The community is comprised of 39 units total for general occupancy with (28) one-bedrooms options, (4) two-bedroom floor plans, and (7) three-bedroom options, featuring a mix of apartments and townhouses. Total development cost was $14.8 million. Financing was provided by the PA. Housing Finance Agency and Mid Penn Bank. Brandon Johnson, Vice President of Development with Monarch provided the tour of the property and noted that, remarkably, more than 650 applications were received for 39 units, underscoring the great need for affordable housing options in Cumberland County. We thank the Monarch team for the opportunity to join them in the design and development of this outstanding affordable housing community.
