Tri County Housing is thrilled to announce the winner of the “Housing Advocate of the Year” Award during their eighth annual golf outing fundraiser on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Sportsman’s Golf Course in Susquehanna Township. This prestigious award will be presented to Robin Wiessmann, Executive Director and CEO of the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PHFA), recognizing her extraordinary leadership and support for affordable housing for low- to moderate-income families.
Gary Lenker, Tri County Executive Director, expressed his admiration for Wiessmann’s lifetime of public service as a cabinet official and policy leader. The award presentation will serve as the highlight of the event before more than 120 golfers proceed with the golf outing, designed to raise funds for Tri County Housing’s affordable housing initiatives.
The purpose behind this fundraising endeavor is to help families buy affordable homes, achieve family stability, and establish sustainable neighborhoods. Funds raised from the previous year’s golf outing have assisted individuals and families in qualifying for first-time homebuyer programs and transforming once-blighted communities throughout Harrisburg and surrounding areas.
Tri County Housing appreciates the continuous support from our community partners and honors Robin Wiessmann for her remarkable efforts in ensuring access to affordable housing for all families.
The media is cordially invited to cover the start of the golf outing and this special award presentation.
