Woda Cooper Companies and Tri-County Housing plan to develop 53-unit affordable housing community in the Borough of Carlisle

Columbus, OH, April 8, 2024 — Woda Cooper Companies, Inc., is pleased to announce that it has agreed to purchase the former TYCO parcel at Clay and Hamilton Streets in the 5th District of the Borough of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, from the Real Estate Collaborative, a subsidiary of the Cumberland Area Economic Development Corporation. Significant investments of time and money by the Real Estate Collaborative have resulted in improved environmental conditions to now support residential development of the site.

In partnership with the non-profit Tri-County Housing of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Woda Cooper plans to complete site remediation and transform the roughly three-acre site into a 45-unit affordable family rental community, with eight additional townhouses offered for sale to first-time home buyers. Construction is slated to begin about March 2025.

“We are eager to plan a community that helps address the need for quality affordable housing in the Carlisle area with amenities needed by families,” said Andrew B. Cohen, Woda Cooper’s Senior Vice President – Development.
